The Annual Chariots of Thunder Sprintcar Series, held at Northline Speedway is set to return over 20-21 and 27-28 August 2021. Whilst Chariots of Thunder was cancelled in early 2020 due to the implications of Coronavirus, DSRDA President, Caleb Gotts is confident the event will return in a big way for 2021. “The Northern Territory has been relatively lucky in the impact of COVID-19 and many of the Motorsport Clubs are excited to be some of the first major events back up and running.”

With the continued support of Motorsports NT and the Northern Territory Government, Chariots of Thunder boasts over $150,000 in prize money for the best drivers in Australia to battle it out.

A unique facet to this event has always been the spectacular city-wide promotions and events which build the Chariots of Thunder program out to 3 weeks of action packed family fun. Fan favourites including the Mitchell Street Motorcade and Fan Appreciation night will return to the program. Coming in hot, is the inaugural Chariots Street Party which will light up the CBD and have you partying in the street, enjoying the ultimate Sunday session.
